California Dreamin

This morning was magic.  I got a phone call from Jordan at 10:00 am from the Salt Lake airport.  It took all I had not to start crying at the first sound of his voice.  He sounded amazing and it was so great to hear his personality come through and listen to his laugh.  It was magic!!!

Here are a few details from our 30 minute conversation:

- I loved the MTC.  The food was good, it just got old after awhile because the menu was on a rotation.  I slept great and had a lot of fun.  There is not any downtime, but that is good.  I also enjoyed the service that we did and attending the temple every week.

-My favorite part of the MTC was the teaching and showing love for others.

-Dallin H. Oaks gave a talk yesterday about faith and the Holy Ghost.  We had a lot of amazing talks.

-I had some of the best teachers ever.  My spanish is great.  It is amazing that you can learn this much of a foreign language in just 9 weeks.  (He did talk to me for about a minute in spanish and I was very impressed!)

-I am in a travel group of 13 elders.  We are all flying into Burbank, California.

-My suitcases were each 45 lbs and everything fit perfectly.  My carry-on bag is pretty packed :)

- I donated the hair product to the "free box" because I won't be needing it anymore.

-This will be the best birthday.  I get to spend my first full day in the field on my birthday.  That would be way awesome if my trainer had a baptism scheduled for tomorrow ;)

-Please tell everyone that I love them and I am doing great.  I am so excited to be in California.
